Exhibition Stands in Tanzania: Design, Build and the Show Floor
Part of: Events, Weddings & Conferences — all 25 guides in this lane.
An exhibition stand is a temporary building with a brand on it, and the show floor imposes constraints that a permanent shop does not. The organiser controls the floor plan, the build window, the power and the fire rules, and the exhibitor has to fit within them.
The floor plan is the first input. The stand size, the position, the neighbouring stands and the aisles determine the design. A corner stand has two open sides and a different traffic flow from an island stand, and the design should use the position.
The build is the second. A modular system can be assembled quickly and reused, while a custom build can be more distinctive and takes longer. The build window is usually a day or two, and the crew and the transport should be planned for it.
The graphics are the third. A backdrop, a counter graphic, a hanging sign and a floor graphic are the visible layers. The artwork should be print-ready, and the sizes should match the stand structure. A graphic that is designed without the frame dimensions will be trimmed on site.
The power and the lighting are the fourth. The organiser supplies a connection, and the exhibitor needs the right plug, the right load and the right lighting. A stand that is dark or overloaded is a stand that cannot show the product.
The storage and the dismantling are the fifth. The stand needs a place for the boxes, the samples and the staff belongings, and the dismantling has to happen within the window. A stand that is left behind is a charge.
The deadlines are the sixth. The organiser sets the build, the opening and the dismantling times, and a late build is a lost day. The exhibitor should confirm the schedule before the design is approved.

Exhibition Stands in Tanzania — questions answered
How early should an exhibition stand be booked?
As early as the floor plan allows. The design, the build and the graphics need time, and the build window is usually short.
Should I use a modular or a custom stand?
A modular stand is faster and reusable; a custom stand is more distinctive and slower. The choice depends on the brand and the show.
What does the organiser provide?
The floor space, the power connection and the build window. The stand, the graphics, the lighting and the storage are the exhibitor's responsibility.
